Sister M. Bernadetta Burns, IHM

Sister M. Bernadetta Burns, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Tuesday, September 22, 1942.

She was born on March 14, 1898 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and given the name Catherine. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Margaret Walsh Burns. She entered the IHM Congregation on September 8, 1919, received the religious habit on December 27, 1919, and made profession of her vows on December 29, 1921.

She is preceded in death by a brother, John Joseph, and an aunt, Sister Mary Francis of Assium Walsh, R.G.S.

She is survived by cousins.

Interment is at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
