Sister M. Hostia Langan, IHM

Sister M. Hosita Langan, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary died on Thursday, November 19, 1925 at St. Rose's Convent in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, after an extended illness.

She was born on September 13, 1883 in South Scranton, Pennsylvania, and was given the name Mary Teresa. She was the daughter of Anne Kelly Langan and the late John Langan.  She entered the IHM Congregation on September 8, 1913, received the religious habit on December 30, 1913, and made profession of her vows on December 30, 1915.

She is preceded in death by four sisters, Mary, Anna Irene, Ellen, and Loretta.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Anne Langan of Scranton, PA, she is also survived by a sister, Helen Marie of Scranton, PA, seven brothers, Reverend Peter of Philadelphia, PA, James of Cleveland, OH, James, John, Michael and Manus, all of Scranton, PA, and Thomas J. of Buffalo, NY, and nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be on Saturday, November 21 at St. Rose Church in Carbondale.  Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.
