Sister Mary Camillus Hatten, IHM

Sister Mary Camillus Hatten, IHM, of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, died on Sunday, August 11, 1929, at the IHM Academy in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

She was born on May 31, 1865 in Kemptville, Ontario, Canada, and given the name Catherine Anastatia (Ann).  She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ellen Dunleavy Hatten. She entered the IHM Congregation on September 8, 1882, received the religious habit on March 27, 1883, and made profession of her vows on April 6, 1885.

Sister Mary Camillus enjoyed her years of teaching children in our IHM mission schools, including at the IHM Academy in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where she also served as superior.

The funeral was held on August 14, 1929 at Saint Thomas Church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, followed by interment at Saint Thomas Cemetery.
