2013 IHM Service Trip

Give your heart away in joyful, loving service. Spend a week with the IHM Sisters. Live at St. Joseph Convent, Carbondale, PA.  Collaborate with NeighborWorks of NEPA to help elderly, low income and disabled homeowners repair and maintain their homes.

2012 IHM Service Trip to Delaware

On July 16, 2012  8 IHM Sisters, 2 adults and 8 high schools students arrived at Marydale in Newark, Delaware, to begin a week helping the residents with various requested services in their apartments as well as other projects to beautify the Marydale Center and grounds.   On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday they were joined by 10 students from St. Mark’s High School as well as 6 faculty volunteers.  Friday closed out the week with the IHM volunteers finishing up any last minute needs.

Both groups of volunteers made wonderful friends among themselves as well as some of the residents.

At the end of the week a great sense of satisfaction as well as pride was felt by all the participants.

Marydale Retirement Village as well as the volunteers and residents were blessed that week by the service and sharing that took place.
