IHM Heritage Celebrated at Little Flower

by Sister Rachel Terry, IHM

On Friday May 10, students at Little Flower School in Bethesda, MD presented an evening of the arts with the theme "Our IHM Heritage." The evening featured an art show and a concert. The concert began with an introduction to our Alphonsian roots and a brief look at our charism and mission. It continued to tell the story of the IHM Founders and concluded by inviting all to realize their part in the IHM story and follow their call into the future just like Theresa Maxis and Louis Gillet. Students performed choral pieces throughout the narration to highlight elements of the IHM story. The art show was comprised of student art work based on the IHM foundation story and included log cabin sculptures, representations of stained glass inspired by the art in our IHM storybook, and scripture quotes done in watercolor among other masterpieces! The students were so proud to share our story with the Little Flower Community and outdid themselves in excellence and enthusiasm!
