Sisters of IHM Engage Social Media Outreach

The IHM Leadership team has employed the help of Ryan Gates Gold, CEO of Go Bright Creative, a marketing agency that supports not-for-profit organizations with marketing, advertising, and social presence on the world wide web.

Since February, Ryan has been working with a group of IHM Sisters teaching them strategies and best practices for social media via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. She is helping the sisters to organize a plan for posting relevant information about the mission and ministry and life of the IHM Congregation. Ryan believes that a stronger IHM online presence can promote vocations, donations, and interest in the work and life of the sisters.

Ryan is a 2001 graduate of Marywood University with a BA in Communication Arts, specializing in advertising and public relations. Her business is located in Babylon, NY. Before launching her own business, Ryan worked with the National Catholic Development Conference (NCDC) and a variety of
Catholic institutions, including religious communities of women and men. Ryan remarked, "I like using my creativity to be helpful in spreading awareness of the mission of groups like the Sisters of IHM who are doing good work in so many places."

The sisters working with Ryan are: Ann Monica Bubser, Kathleen Burns, Fran Fasolka, Kathryn Kurdziel, Elizabeth McGill, Rachel Terry, and Mindy Welding.
