The Munley College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Marywood’s Board of Trustees announced on October 18 that it affirmed the naming of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in honor of Sister Anne Munley, IHM, Ph.D. The Munley College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is one of four Colleges within Marywood University. Marywood’s eleventh president, Sister Anne Munley, has been leading the University since 2007.

In a statement about the naming of the Munley College, Ann Henry, Ph.D., Chair of the Board of Trustees said, “The Trustees approved this honor in recognition of Sister Anne’s service to Marywood not only as President but also as a past administrator and faculty member at Marywood, her fifty years of service as an IHM Sister, and in recognition of her service work throughout the world.”
Commenting on the announcement, Sister Anne said, “I believe the naming reaffirms the connection to our University’s roots in the educational tradition of the IHM Sisters. Although I am both humbled and honored by this recognition, for me it is truly a celebration of the IHM legacy.”
